I have limited morning/early afternoon openings for new clients.
Somehow, clients who find me seem to tell the same story.
They say “I’m in therapy right now, and it’s a good experience… My therapist is really nice and we get along, but they just don’t seem to get what I’m going through during a flare up. I think I need something different…”
It’s a story I understand, and I’m happy to “pick up the baton” when it’s passed my way. My special blend of compassionate, action-oriented therapy, combined with my own lived experience as a woman who has chronic illness, have given me a special capacity to help others who live in bodies that don’t always work very well.
When I work with someone who has pain and/or illness, I focus on a few specific areas as we progress:
What I’ve seen, time and again, is that simply having someone to talk to who really gets what you’re going through can make a huge difference in how you feel about your future.
As your emotional and mental wellbeing stabilize, I will draw on my background in bodywork, meditation/mindfulness, and movement to suggest supportive activities that you can start incorporating into your day-to-day routine.
I understand how hard it can be when you’re sick. Please contact me, and let’s find out if what I offer could be the thing that helps you find your center and move forward.
Many of my clients live with some form of ongoing physical difficulty. They tell me what a relief it is to find a therapist who really "gets it."
I will never dismiss or minimize your reality, and instead of telling you to look on the bright side, I'll give you a safe space in which to tell the truth about what you're experiencing. Together, we'll figure out ways for you to move forward.
Please reach out and let's schedule an introductory phone call.
